The Last Temptation of Becky is the third film in the Becky series, directed by Jenn Wexler. It had its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 25, 2026, and its UK premiere at FrightFest on August 30. It runs 89 minutes and is rated R. Quiver Distribution holds North America.

There is no confirmed US release date. That is the honest answer, and it is worth stating plainly because the listings disagree with the announcements. Quiver's own page for the film still reads "Coming Soon" with no date. The last dated statement from the distributor came in February 2026, when Dread Central reported the company would release it "in theaters in North America in summer 2026" — a window that has now passed. TMDB and Moviefone both list a limited theatrical date of October 23, 2026, but no trade outlet and no distributor announcement corroborates it.

Lulu Wilson returns as Becky, with Neil Patrick Harris as General Wilhelm Reuss, Kate Siegel as Agent Montana, and James Urbaniak, Brandon Flynn, Desmond Eastwood, Catherine Walker and Noah Leggott. Wexler wrote the screenplay with Matt Angel, from a story by Angel and Suzanne Coote, who directed the second film. It was shot in Northern Ireland.

Streaming Release Date & Where to Watch

Start with what is actually known, because this is the question the film currently has no clean answer to.

**There is no confirmed US release date.** Quiver Distribution's own page for the film says "Coming Soon" and gives no date. The most recent dated statement from the company is from February 2026, reported by Dread Central: it would open "in theaters in North America in summer 2026." Summer 2026 has passed and the film did not open.

TMDB and Moviefone both list October 23, 2026 as a limited theatrical date. Two listing databases agreeing is not nothing, but neither is a distributor announcement, and no trade outlet has reported that date. Treat it as a placeholder until Quiver says otherwise. The Becky trilogy in order

Three films, three different directing teams, one continuous story about the same character.

1. **Becky (2020)** — directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion. Kevin James plays against type as the antagonist. It scores **7.0** on Watch Darkly. 2. **The Wrath of Becky (2023)** — directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, set two years later. We have not scored it yet. 3. **The Last Temptation of Becky (2026)** — directed by Jenn Wexler, with Angel co-writing and Angel and Coote sharing the story credit, so the second film's creative team carries into the third.

Lulu Wilson has played Becky in all three and is an executive producer on this one. The character was created by Nick Morris, Lane Skye and Ruckus Skye, who wrote the first film.

**Do you need to watch the first two?** They are short, they are on the same streaming service, and the third film moves the character into a completely different job, so it is not the kind of sequel that assumes you memorised the second one. If you only watch one first, watch the first — it establishes who Becky is and why she behaves the way she does. But the series rewards going in order, and at 93 and 83 minutes the catch-up is under three hours.

What the festival reviews said

The film has played two festivals and has a real critical record, which is unusual for a title with no release date.

Reviewing from Fantasia, ScreenAnarchy called it "a good time sticking it to Nazis" and judged that it stands up alongside its predecessors. Bloody Disgusting, SciFiNow and Eye for Film also filed reviews out of the festival run, and the reception has been broadly positive on the same terms: it is doing what the series does, at a larger scale.

The most common criticism in that coverage is technical rather than structural. More than one reviewer noted that some of the violence lands softer than the previous films because of digital blood, which is a specific and useful thing to know about a series whose appeal has been the practical, tactile nastiness of its kills.

Rotten Tomatoes had not accumulated enough reviews to publish a Tomatometer at the time of writing.

None of that tells you whether it is frightening, which is a separate measurement. This is an action-horror hybrid — TMDB files it as action, horror and thriller at once — and the series has always run much higher on gore than on fear. Jenn Wexler, and the Wolf's Lair setting

Jenn Wexler directed The Ranger in 2018 and The Sacrifice Game in 2023, and produced a run of American independent horror before that. This is the first time she has taken over an existing series, and the first Becky film not directed by its previous team.

The setting is a real place. The Wolf's Lair, Wolfsschanze in German, was Hitler's Eastern Front military headquarters, built in what is now Gierłoż in northern Poland. It is the site of the failed July 20, 1944 assassination attempt, and the ruins operate today as a tourist attraction, which is the detail the film's premise is built on: a family running a tourist venture at the bunker complex.

Production ran in Northern Ireland, with Northern Ireland Screen among the backers alongside BoulderLight Pictures and Post Film. Julia Swain shot it and Nima Fakhrara composed the score.
