If the storm doesn't get you... they will
They don't need to hurry. The water is rising on its own.
When a Category 5 hurricane bears down on Florida, Haley ignores evacuation orders and drives toward her childhood home to find her missing father. What she finds is a flooding crawl space, a badly injured man, and alligators that have moved in with the rising water. Getting out means going through them.

Overall
Haley Keller, a competitive college swimmer, receives a worried call from her sister about their estranged father as a Category 5 hurricane barrels toward their Florida hometown. Ignoring mandatory evacuation orders, she drives to the old family home in Coral Lake and finds her father Dave badly injured in the crawl space beneath the house — dragged there by alligators that entered through a breached drainage pipe.
The storm intensifies and the crawl space floods rapidly. Dave's injuries are severe and he can barely move. Haley works to keep him conscious and find a route out while multiple large alligators patrol the rising water around them. Every exit is cut off. The water keeps climbing. Their dog Sugar is trapped with them.
Escape attempts escalate in desperation — trying to signal rescue helicopters through a small ground-level window, fighting through submerged corridors toward a pump station above the waterline, using pipes and debris as weapons. Several would-be rescuers — looters first, then police officers — are killed by the alligators when they attempt to enter.
As the house fully floods, Haley swims through a submerged section and gets Dave to the roof. A rescue helicopter locks onto them. They are airlifted out as the storm finishes what it came to do to the house below.
