A small-town shock jock discovers the new plague spreads through certain words.

Aging shock jock Grant Mazzy arrives at his low-wattage radio station in the small Canadian town of Pontypool, Ontario, to do his usual provocateur morning shift on a frigid February day. Then field reports start coming in — riots at a doctor's office, mobs of people muttering nonsense and attacking each other. Trapped behind glass in the booth, Mazzy and his producer keep broadcasting as the catastrophe outside closes in.
