Clown in a Cornfield(2025)

Not good not bad (mostly). The characters are mostly forgettable, except for the lead, Katie Douglas who doesn't have a lot to work with but nevertheless the result is a likeable character with final girl-ish vibes. Nothing scary here, no dread, but that's ok, it's clear that wasn't the intent of the film. It's a darkly comic slasher. One thing I did not like was the plot, when the motive for the killings are revealed it's not believable in the slightest, (think Scream 7). Not a bad movie, this film feels like a rough stepping stone for more ambitious projects. It doesn't bring anything new to the table and doesn't take any risks. Who is this movie for? Slasher fanatics. Or folks who like slashers that have an eighth to go with it.
