Last House is a film that to me feels like everything and simultaneously nothing happened. That in itself is honestly an achievement. You have this huge apocalyptic-like world event that shatters their lives, but at the same time it almost feels like nothing happened. There are too many unresolved threads in the movie for me to feel happy about the viewing too - give me something, anything really, I'd take some squirrel scraps even. The movie has heartwarming and wholesome moments throughout, but these should elevate the existing foundational narrative of which, is very shaky. I don't recommend this movie.
