Overall
Cecilia flees her controlling partner Adrian Griffin in the middle of the night. Two weeks later her sister delivers news that Adrian has committed suicide, leaving Cecilia a portion of his estate managed by his brother Tom. She begins experiencing strange incidents — a stove turned on overnight, her portfolio destroyed, items moved, a shape under a blanket. She becomes convinced Adrian is alive and wearing an invisibility suit. No one believes her. She is drugged at a lunch with her former mentor and framed for assault; her friend James's teenage daughter is threatened with a note written in Cecilia's handwriting. Cecilia is institutionalized. She finds a spare suit, escapes, kills the invisible intruder — it is Tom, wearing the suit on Adrian's behalf. Adrian is revealed to be alive: he set Tom up as a fall guy. Cecilia arranges a private dinner with Adrian, hides the suit on herself, records his confession, and slits his throat with a concealed knife while returning to the table. She walks out of the house.
