Find the clues or die.
They each survived something. Now someone wants to see if they can do it again.
Six strangers receive mysterious invitations to an elaborate escape room promising a $10,000 prize. When the first room nearly kills one of them, it becomes clear the game is real — and that someone on the outside built it specifically for them. Survival depends on solving the rooms. Getting out depends on understanding why they were chosen.

Overall
Six strangers — Zoey, Ben, Amanda, Mike, Jason, and Danny — each receive a puzzle box concealing an invitation to compete in a high-stakes escape room experience with a $10,000 prize. They arrive at the Minos Escape Room facility and are quickly separated from any staff. The first room, a deceptively ordinary waiting room, reveals itself to be an oven — the walls heat to lethal temperatures, and the group barely escapes. Danny does not make it out of a later room.
As the group moves through increasingly elaborate and dangerous environments — a frozen lake, an upside-down billiard bar, a poisoned forest — they begin to notice that each room mirrors a traumatic event from one of their pasts. Someone built these rooms knowing exactly who they are and what they survived. Amanda drowns in the ice room. Mike is killed in the bar. Jason, revealed as the sole survivor of a plane crash in which he abandoned others, is left to die in the toxic forest after Zoey refuses to sacrifice herself for him.
The final room is a recreation of a plane crash — Zoey's crash. She pieces it together: the Minos corporation stages these games for an audience of ultra-wealthy clients. Each player was chosen because they are a documented survivor of a near-death event. The game is a sport. They are the athletes. Ben apparently falls to his death but survives; the two escape and report everything to authorities — only to find that Minos has erased every trace of the facility.
A post-credits scene shows a Minos operative in New York, already building the next game. Zoey is on the board.
