Overall
Rocky, Alex, and Money are small-time burglars in a dying Detroit neighborhood who learn of a blind Gulf War veteran living alone in an abandoned block with a large cash settlement from the drunk driver who killed his daughter. They plan a simple robbery. Inside, the Blind Man wakes and hunts them through his own home with terrifying efficiency — he has adapted to total darkness and knows every corner. Money is killed. Rocky and Alex discover a locked basement door. Rocky breaks through and finds Cindy — the woman responsible for the crash — imprisoned and impregnated against her will; the Blind Man intends to replace his dead daughter with a new child. Cindy dies accidentally in the struggle. The Blind Man captures Rocky and attempts to forcibly inseminate her. Alex rescues her. Alex is shot and killed trying to give Rocky time to escape. Rocky makes it outside. A passing freight train covers her flight. The Blind Man is left alive; news coverage afterward validates his version of events. Rocky boards a train out of Detroit with her younger sister.
