Planet Terror

In a small Texas town, a military unit led by the dangerous Lt. Muldoon completes a deal for a cannister of DC2 — an experimental gas — that goes catastrophically wrong when the gas is released. Anyone who breathes it begins to decompose and turn feral, attacking the living with savage hunger. Go-go dancer Cherry Darling reunites with her ex, the enigmatic El Wray, after she loses her leg in an attack. At the local hospital, Dr. William Block discovers his wife Dakota is leaving him and begins a night of brutality. A small band of survivors forms: Cherry, El Wray, Sheriff Hague, Dakota, and a handful of others. El Wray's past as something more than a drifter is revealed — he is known to certain people in very specific ways. Cherry is fitted with a machine gun prosthetic leg by the survivors and transforms into a devastating fighter. The group fights through hordes of infected toward a military helicopter. El Wray is killed protecting Cherry. Cherry leads the survivors to safety. The film ends in a new compound, Cherry leading a community of survivors with her infant son.
