Evil Dead Rise

Beth arrives at Ellie's high-rise apartment with news she hasn't processed yet — she's pregnant. Ellie is managing three kids alone: Danny, Bridget, and young Kassie. The building has been condemned; they have weeks left. An earthquake splits the parking garage floor open during dinner, and Danny climbs down into the gap, finding a sealed vault lined with old vinyl records and a book bound in flesh. He takes them upstairs. That night, he plays the records.

The incantation summons a Deadite. Ellie is dragged through the peephole of the apartment door and comes back wrong. She is still Ellie-shaped, still using Ellie's voice when it suits her — but the thing inside knows exactly which words will cut the deepest, and it's in no hurry. The apartment locks down. The building's other residents are beyond reach. It's just Beth and three kids against their mother.

The Deadite works through the family. Bridget is infected through a bite and turns. Danny follows. Beth holds the remaining ground with Kassie — the youngest, who saw it happen and cannot un-see it. The apartment fills with blood. The film does not flinch.

In the parking garage, the possessed bodies of Ellie, Bridget, and Danny merge into a single grotesque mass — the Deadites collapsing into one creature. Beth and Kassie face it together. Beth shoves it into the wood chipper.

Kassie survives. Beth survives. The building comes down behind them.
